My Approach to Whole‑Person Wellness

I’m a certified Holistic Nutritionist with training in Five Elements Nutrition—a Traditional Chinese Medicine–based approach that explores how food, emotions, and body systems are deeply interconnected. I also draw from functional medicine root‑cause analysis, which looks at the underlying contributors to health issues—like nutrition, stress, toxins, and lifestyle patterns—and the mind‑body connection to understand how your thoughts, feelings, physiology, and food choices shape your health. My work is grounded in finding the root cause—not just what’s happening in the body, but why it’s happening, and how the mind and body are responding together.

Where My Journey Began

My passion for health began with my own childhood challenges — food sensitivities and digestive issues that shaped my daily life in unpredictable ways. I experienced digestive imbalance with alternating symptoms of sluggishness and hyperactivity. I noticed that certain foods triggered these shifts and identified which ones affected me this way. I also struggled with brain fog and focus, which added another layer of challenge and often left me feeling disconnected from my own potential. I searched for answers to my health struggles through my own research.

The Turning Point

After a long stretch of unanswered questions, I finally learned I had IBS. Over the years, more root causes came to light—adrenal fatigue, hormonal imbalances, Hashimoto’s, H. pylori, SIBO, low stomach acid, and fatigue that touched every part of my life.

Searching for answers became second nature, and I threw myself into learning everything I could to make sense of what my body was really trying to say.

What I Learned Along the Way

My work is rooted in the mind‑body connection, viewing food, emotions, and the natural world as interconnected forces shaping our internal landscape. I pair this ancient framework with modern nutritional science to help individuals understand their bodies in a way that feels grounded, compassionate, and empowering.

My training in holistic nutrition taught me how the body creates energy, maintains balance, and communicates through symptoms — and how food and lifestyle choices influence overall well‑being. This integrative lens allows me to see the body as a dynamic system that is constantly adapting, signaling, and seeking harmony.

Supporting Weight With Compassion and Curiosity

I also support individuals with weight‑related concerns.  Instead of relying on the traditional “eat less, move more” philosophy, I explore a deeper question: why is the body holding onto weight?

Together, we look at the emotional, physiological, and energetic factors that shape weight patterns — from stress responses and nervous system load to hormonal shifts, digestive function, and the stories we carry about food and our bodies.

Many people come to me because they want an approach that goes beyond short‑term fixes and helps them understand their weight not as a matter of willpower, but as meaningful communication from the body.

How I Support You Today

At the core of my practice is the deep connection between mind, body, and energy. I help individuals explore the emotional, physiological, and energetic roots of their health concerns so they can reconnect with their innate capacity to transform, rebalance, and thrive.

Through a systems‑based, whole‑person approach, I guide clients beyond surface‑level solutions and into meaningful, sustainable transformation.

Why Heart Driven Wellness Exists

My work is designed for those who want to understand the deeper “why” behind their patterns and symptoms. Together, we honor physiology, energy, and lived experience as equal parts of the healing process.

Today, with more energy, clarity, and focus, I share the insights and discoveries that helped me reclaim my own health — and support others in exploring the deeper conditions and signals their bodies may be communicating.

At the Heart of My Philosophy

At the heart of my practice is a simple belief: when we understand our bodies, we reclaim our power — and when we nourish ourselves with intention, we create the conditions for lasting wellness, clarity, and ease.

How I Think About Food

Healthy eating doesn’t need to be complicated.   At its core, it begins with choosing real, minimally processed foods that support the body’s natural ability to heal and stay balanced.  Today, there are countless diets, each with their own rules, labels, and promises.  Many are shaped by trends, branding, or belief systems that can make food feel confusing or overwhelming.

There are two basic ways of eating: with animal foods or without them. Both can support health when built on whole, nutrient‑dense foods and individualized for your health conditions, sensitivities, and personal needs. What matters most is understanding how your body responds and choosing foods that help you feel grounded and nourished.

My approach isn’t about rules or restriction. It’s about clarity, quality, and learning to listen to your body’s signals so food becomes supportive—not stressful.

When we nourish ourselves with intention, we create the conditions for growth — just like tending a garden.

Community Gardening Effort

Your body is like a garden—

your emotions are the weather,

your food is the soil,

and your thoughts are the seeds.

I help you tend to all of it,

so your health can grow naturally.
